Tony is considered one of the primary architects of the invoice finance industry in the UK. He entered the factoring industry in 1977 with International Factors Ltd and founded Venture Finance PLC in 1989. He sold the business to ABN AMRO in 1992, but remained Managing Director throughout until he announced his retirement, which is planned for the first half of 2008. During his stewardship the business flourished - and growing from just three staff to almost 250.

A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, Tony is the co-author of the book International Factoring, published by Euromoney Publications. He is also a former Chairman of the Factors & Discounters Association as well as the International Factors Group SCRL.

In his spare time Tony enjoys sailing, and is a keen offshore racer. He also plays golf and lists property renovation amongst his interests.
